There is never any shortage of festivals around here- but Fall seems to be a time of the year when some of the best festivals take place. This year they happen to also be accompanied by some of the best weather we have seen in a while. Last weekend we did The Louisiana Seafood Festival and ate our hearts and stomachs content. This past weekend we did the Harvest Fest and kids costume contest in the French Market. It was a beautiful day in the French Quarter and it was glorious to see children and their families dressed in their Halloween best. We introduced Chloe to her first pumpkin and also the French Market, We shared lots of smiles and great memories- but nap time was calling and we had to cut it short. Maybe we will make it to the costume contest next year. But next weekend it will be chicken dancing and beer drinking for Dad as we hit up the Deutsches Haus for their annual Oktoberfest.
